A night spent multiplayer or co-op gaming with friends on Discord is never a wasted night.
However, if you plan on participating in an extended gaming session, it’s a good idea to take occasional breaks, mute your friends or teammates, relax, and then come back refreshed and ready to win.
To do that, you need to know how to mute people on Discord. This guide will teach you how to do precisely that.

Muting Someone
To mute someone, you both need to be in the same voice channel or at least on the same server.
If you are in a voice channel with another user, simply right-click their username and select mute.
That’s all there is to it!
However, if that particular user is not currently in a voice channel, you could also mute them through the member list.
Look at the top-right of Discord and click the icon of two people to open a server’s member list. Once the list is open, find the user, right-click their name and press mute.
If you want to avoid hearing from a particular user permanently, it is also possible to block them. This means they will always be muted for you and won’t be able to hear you either.
