A night spent multiplayer or co-op gaming with friends on Discord is never a wasted night.
However, if you plan on participating in an extended gaming session, it’s a good idea to take occasional breaks, silence your friends or teammates, relax, and then come back refreshed and ready to win.
In order to achieve that, you must understand how to silence individuals on Discord. This guide will educate you on exactly how to accomplish that.

Muting Someone
To silence someone, you both need to be in the same vocal channel or at least on the same server.
If you are in a voice channel with another user, simply right-click their username and select mute.
That’s all there is for it!
However, if that particular user is not currently in a voice channel, you could also mute them through the member list.
Look at the upper-right of Discord and click the icon of two people to open a server’s member list. Once the list is open, find the user, right-click their name and click mute.
If you wish to never receive messages from a specific user again, you can also block them. That way, they will always be silenced for you and they will not be able to hear you either.
