An entire night of multiplayer or coop gaming with friends on Discord is never a wasted night.
However, if you plan on spending hours and hours staring at your screen, it’s a good idea to take a few-minute break, mute your acquaintances/teammates, relax and then come back stronger than before.
To do that, you’ll have to know how to mute people on Discord. And this guide is going to tell you exactly how to do it!
To mute someone, you both need to be in a voice channel or at least on the same server.
So, if you are in a voice channel together with another user, right-click their username and click mute.
That is all there is to it!
However, if that particular user is not in a voice channel at that moment, you could mute them through the member list too.
Look at the top-right of Discord if you want to open a server’s member list. Once open, look for the right user, right-click their name and again, just hit mute.
Alternatively, it is possible to block a certain user, which means they will always be muted for you, and they won’t be able to hear you either.
