Discord is one of the best communication tools out there for gamers. However, there is a lot more to this application than what you can see on the surface. There are so many tricks, secrets, and shortcuts you can use to improve communication with your teammates.
A feature that you should be using regularly when talking with other users is “React”.
This feature allows you to react to a message with a certain emoji. Of course, you have the freedom to use any emoji from the Discord database.
Here is a simple and easy guide to ensure that you properly use this useful communication feature.
How To React
Reacting to a text, image, or video message is simple. Hover over the message with your mouse, and at the right-hand side of the highlighted block, you will see three icons pop up.
To react with an emoji, click on the leftmost icon. The emoji with a plus sign over it.
After you click on the icon, a small window will open with hundreds of different emojis.
If you are looking for a specific emoji, you can use the search bar located at the top of this newly opened window, while on the left side of the window, you will also see a list of different categories. These two features can help you find exactly which emoji you are looking for.
Keep in mind, the process of adding reactions to private messages or server messages is exactly the same.
Seeing Other People’s Reactions
To see your or other people’s reaction, look exactly at the bottom left of the message. There you will be able to see every react response to the message, including your own.
You could also try pressing on one of the reactions on the message to react with that same emoji quickly.
