Discord is a voice communication platform rich with all kinds of features—text, Voice, different channels, roles, media sharing, screen sharing, and streaming.
However, as a basic user, you don’t get to utilize the full extent of those features.
To get those benefits, you will need to subscribe to Nitro.
Nitro is a premium subscription service on Discord that provides users with access to 1080p@60FPS streaming, a larger file size limit for media sharing, better audio quality, custom emojis, and a lot more.
To put this into perspective, the basic user can only stream 720p at 30 FPS.
However, this subscription doesn’t come cheap. It’s $10 per month or $100 a year, which is why many might consider canceling it.
Canceling Discord Nitro
If you are not satisfied with Nitro and you want to cancel it, follow these steps below:
- Head on over to User Settings and into the Discord Nitro tab.
- Below the Your Subscription segment, you should see the Cancel or Switch Plans options.
- Naturally, you will want to select the Cancel option to stop Discord from billing you further.
That’s all there is to it! You have ended the Nitro subscription service, so don’t forget that you will lose all of the above-mentioned features for the rest of the subscription month.
