How To Get Discord On Xbox

Looking for a way to get Discord on Xbox? The process is rather simple so here is the ultimate guide on how to get Discord on Xbox with ease.

Discord has expanded on most platforms, including Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, Linux, and it can even be used on browsers.

This is one of the main reasons why so many people prefer this application over others. But, it is also slowly spreading to consoles, both to Xbox and the PlayStation.

However, at the time of writing, the implementation of Discord on Xbox is minimal. The most basic features such as voice or text chat are unavailable. But you can still make some use of it!

Here is a quick guide on how you can get Discord on your Xbox.

Linking Discord On Xbox Series X/S

First things first, you will have to connect your Xbox Live account with your Discord account.

To do that, power on your console, press the Xbox button, and head into the last tab on the right labeled “Power & System.” Next, you should see your username/profile. Click on it and select “My Account” on the newly opened dropdown menu.

This will redirect you to your account’s settings. From here, head into the Account tab and then to Linked Social Accounts. You will see different social platforms you can connect to, such as Facebook, Steam, or even Reddit, but right now, you should look for Discord.

Click on “Link” and input your Discord email and password.

And, that’s it!

Well, only if you are on the latest generation of Xbox consoles.

Linking Discord On Xbox One

If you are on Xbox One, the account linking process might be a little bit different.

First, follow the first few steps from the guide above. In short, go into your profile settings and get back into Linked Social Accounts. Next, click Link under Discord and log in with your password and email. It looks pretty much the same.

The only difference is it will provide you with a confirmation code that needs to be input into the desktop or mobile app. Whichever platform you pick, the process is the same and super simple!

Open Discord on your PC (or phone) and head into User Settings. From there, go into the Connections tab.

You will see a variety of platforms available for linking. Select Xbox Live, log into your Microsoft account, and add the confirmation code previously shown on your Xbox.

After this, your Xbox should successfully connect with your Discord. The main benefit of this connection is that your friends will see what game you are playing and exactly how long you have been playing it.
