Discord is a hugely popular platform with an intuitive and user-friendly design. If any of your friends are PC gamers, they likely already have a Discord account.
Part of what makes this application even better is the number of free features it includes.
One of its most useful features is the ability to set a custom status. Your status is a message that any of your friends or other users on a server can see. Discord includes preset statuses such as Online, Idle, Do Not Disturb, and Invisible.
If you’re unsure of how to alter it, here is how to easily change your Discord status and even set a custom one:

How To Set A Custom Status
- Open Discord.
- Click your profile picture at the bottom left of your screen, next to the mute/deafen buttons.
- Click Set a custom status and input anything you want.
Click Save, and you’re done! You can also use the Clear After option to automatically remove your custom status after a set amount of time.
That’s all there is to it. Play around with your custom status, have fun, and maybe try sending a few hidden messages in your status to see whether or not your friends will catch on.
