Discord is a huge platform with an intuitive and user-friendly design. If any of your friends are gamers, you know they already have a Discord account.
What makes this application even better is the number of free features it comes with.
One of the more useful features is the ability to set a custom status. Your status is a message that your friends or any users on a server will be able to see. Of course, Discord includes some built-in statuses such as Online, Idle, Do Not Disturb, and Invisible.
So, if you’re unsure of what to do, here is how to easily change your Discord status and set it to a custom one:
How To Set A Custom Status
- Open Discord.
- Click your profile picture at the bottom left of your screen, right next to the mute/deafen buttons.
- Click Set a custom status and input anything you want.
After that, you click Save, and you are done! Additionally, you can use the Clear After option to remove your custom status after a certain amount of time.
That is all there is to it. So play around with the custom status, have fun and maybe try sending a few hidden messages with it to see whether your friends will catch on.
