Discord is a huge voice chat platform with millions of users and counting. So, it’s very likely that most of your friends or coworkers already have a Discord account.
However, finding them may prove a bit complicated, especially if you don’t have the unique four number ID. (#0000)
Luckily, you can resort to this quick guide to find someone on Discord.
Using Discord’s Add Friend Function
If you have the aforementioned unique ID and their username, finding a user on Discord is pretty simple just by using the Add Friend function.
First, open Discord, go into Home, and click on Add Friend.
You will need to enter the username and the ID number. Example: DiscordUser#0000. After that, click on Send Friend Request. Once they accept your request, you will be able to talk or even invite them to your server.
Alternatively, if the user is already on your friend list, use the search function in Home on the Discord app.
Searching Through Server Members
If you don’t know the username or the ID number, finding a specific user is not that simple.
However, if you know that both you and your friend are a part of the same server, you could use the in-server search function.
To do that, head into the server, expand the Member List and scroll through all the users. It may take some time, but you should be able to find your friend with enough effort. You could also use the search above the member list.
Third-Party Discord User Lists
If the above-mentioned methods are not working for you, it may be a good idea to try going through a third-party user list.
