Using Discord’s Add Friend Function
If you have the person’s unique ID and username, finding someone on Discord is straightforward by simply using the Add Friend function.
Open Discord, go to Home, then click Add Friend.
You need to enter both the username and the ID number, for example, DiscordUser#0000. After entering it, click Send Friend Request. After they accept your request, you will be able to chat with them or even invite them to your server.
If the user is already on your friend list, use the search function in Home on the Discord application.
Searching Through Server Members
If you don’t know somebody’s username and ID number, finding them on Discord is far less simple.
However, if both you and your friend are members of the same server, you can use the in-server search function.
To do that, open the server, expand the Member List, and scroll through all the users. This could take some time, especially in larger servers, but you should be able to find your friend without too much effort. You can also use the search option above the member list.
Third-Party Discord User Lists
If the above methods don’t work for you, you could also consider looking through a third-party user list.
The most popular sites include Discord.id and Discordhub. On these sites, you can search for your friend’s real name or a known aliases. If you do, you might be lucky enough to find them!
